Bucs promoted TE Colin Franklin from their practice squad.

Bucs will be good this year. KSU Josh Freeman is their qb.

Is this due to injuries to Winslow(TE) and Stroughter(WR)? I didn't think Winslow's knee was that bad. All I had to go by was the week 3 injury report...

Hes been with Tampa since the end of Spring. This just means he has been impressing the coaches during practices, his paychecks are about to get a bump as well.

Good deal, hope he gets a chance to make some plays and sticks with the team.

Congrats to Collin and hopefully he never goes back!

I'm going to try to look up one of the old Franklin vs. Reisner threads.

I kind of pictured him as a poor-man's Dallas Clark. I think if he could get in with the right offense (set up like the Colts....but their offense with Peyton Manning) he's athletic enough to be utilized and make things happen.

Their starting safety Grimm tore his ACL so they put him on injured reserve and bumped up Collin. Might have been some other shuffling since they replaced a defensive guy on the roster with an offensive guy.
