Mangino wasn't hired to make decisions based on what guys did in high school or even last year for that matter. It's a fresh start for all of the QB's and the one who is most productive in the new scheme will get the nod.

I know that, I just think that they might have some chemistry. Stuff like knowing where D'Vario likes the ball, what he can do, and just being on the same page offensively. I agree that most of it will ultimately defend on Mangino, but having that history together could not hurt. Does anyone know how they've done in practice together?

the best player will win it, but I still hope that its Sam Richardson. He's an upperclassman and has the most experience. I think it shows a little bit of potential that both of these QBs played pretty well at times, considering how god awful our offense was last year.

I wouldn't count out seeing all three QB's play at least a little bit. Even if Lanning is the 3, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Mangino pulled out some Belldozer type packages for him on a very limited basis.

Typically when CW posts stuff like this he knows something. My guess is it will be SR starting the first game.

Makes me wonder. Plus Rhoads made a statement that you do not lose your starting position when you are injured and then become healthy. Rhoads said that a previous starter could lose their position IF they were surpassed by their replacement however. Rohach is more prone to throwing INT's IMO. When SR was healthy he looked pretty good.

We saw this before with Barnett and Jantz. Jantz won his spot back. Then lost it to Barnett. And finally SR won it Deja Vu with these 3 QB's?

I hope they let the RBs have some carries this year. That is why they were recruited. Last year we had 5 RBs and SR probably had the majority of the carries.

It was worse the year before. It is great when your mobile QB can turn a broken pass play into a gain with his feet, or even call his own number when he catches the defense in an alignment that leaves them outnumbered. It is a fine line, and a subtility that was clearly beyond Mess's ability.

I'd prefer to see Sam too. He is much bigger and stronger this year and is the all around better QB IMO. You shouldn't lose your job to injury. As someone else pointed out, can he forget the horror show of last year's OL play and play calling and get back to his old self we saw in 2012?

I still cant believe we went all season without a scoring a touchdown on the first offensive possession.

I was in the Rohach camp, but he was essentially the #1 going into the spring and fall, but if he hasn't taken that next step, I'm back to Richardson.
