last night at home my computer got hammered with a virus, lost access to internet and it wouldn't let me open AVG or my Spyware/Malaybytes software. Any suggestions for something i can download at work to a flashdrive and try to run on my home computer???

Restart in safe mode, run malwarebytes and spybot search and destroy.

Did you get the one that gives you a fake virus warning and asks you to download / buy a bogus antivirus ?

Malwarebytes - run in safe mode.
^^^^ Download Malwarebytes to your flash drive on a clean computer, start the infected computer in safe mode, and install and run the Malwarebytes scan on the infected computer while in safe mode. I perform this at work at least once a month for the folks here who can't seem to stay away from these nasties on their work PC.

Try malwarebytes first and run it in the safe mode. Oh yeah, Malwarebytes doesn't work well with other antivirus.. I hope it also doesn't corrupt your rundll.exe file - if that happens, you might need to do so some manual stuffs. some of the Fanatics here are experts and gave good afvice to me when my notebook was infected twice in the first 3 months this year.
