I feel like we’ve found a good reason to play (and beat) OU three times a year now.Maybe my great grandkids can see ISU even the series against OU? Okay maybe not. We'll just restart the numbers at the beginning of 2020 so its 1-1 now.

Just seemed like we lost to them by 7 points or less for a couple decades straight lol
Why does Iowa State struggle with Oklahoma State? For whatever reason, the Cyclones always seem to drop games to the 'Pokes that were very winnable in the given year.
Decade, singular. That decade is up this year. We've had those ******* on the ropes multiple times in the last 10 years and won like one of them. I wonder if CPR's deal with the devil that night was to win 1 vs. OSU, then tank the rest of them for a few decades?

And guess who we play for Homecoming this year?
I was gonna say, as glorious as that win was on that magical Friday night, it is almost like we have been plagued by some weird voodoo against Okie St. Have we beaten them just once since 2011? Did Paul Rhoads slaughter the neighbor's kids pet dog the night before that game in 2011 and offer it as a sacrifice or something? We've had those ******* on the ropes multiple times in the last 10 years and won like one of them. Let's just hope it wasn't a Chicago goat...I was gonna say, as glorious as that win was on that magical Friday night, it is almost like we have been plagued by some weird voodoo against Okie St. Have we beaten them just once since 2011? Kansas State skating by ISU by the skin of their teeth under Snyder goes further back than 10 years. In 1998 ISU had them down 28-7 at the half but KSU won helped by a David Allen 94 yard punt return for a TD that had a clear open field clip that everyone in the stadium saw - everyone that is but the guys with yellow hankies in their pockets. What a huge difference in the game there is between 28-14 and first and ten at your own three at the end of the third quarter versus 28-21 and the momentum of a long punt return for a TD. KSU won 35-28.
Yes, thanks for the correction. I thought '98 and typed that and then looked to be sure and discovered it was '99 but failed to make the correction. KSU also changed their defense at the half keying on Darren Davis who had torched the Wildcats in the first half. KSU gave him no room to run in the second half and ISU had no answer. That was 1999 and one of my first games in the stands as a freshman. That game was so rough. It was absolute domination in the first half and then the 2nd half KSU brings in back-up QB and we could not not do anything right.
I was hoping for the inverse of that at my last ISU game in person, @Baylor in 2019. It was the hottest game I have ever been to and then when I noticed our sun shades get removed, I got some bad vibes. Our 4th quarter come back was insane. Baylor fans were in such a similar situation and then their freshman kicker makes his first collegiate FG for the win.
Fortunately last football season helped to make up for some of the nut kicks we have taken over the years and hopefully we can build on the momentum!
We beat them for Purdy's first game in 2018, other than that, a lot of close losses and a few bad onesI was gonna say, as glorious as that win was on that magical Friday night, it is almost like we have been plagued by some weird voodoo against Okie St. Have we beaten them just once since 2011?
