The 3 road wins are against bottom 4. Not saying they aren't good wins because we lost to #10 on the road last year, but we haven't beat anyone on the road that's in the top 5.

Mark my words on this these guys want payback so you could see this happen at both Baylor and WV. Only teams to beat them in Hilton. We have seen it happen before in previous Niangs years. So keep a eye out on that.

If the top 6 win all remaining home games plus road games against the bottom 4, the final standings would be:

WV 13-5
OU 13-5
UT 13-5
KU 12-6
BU 12-6
ISU 11-7

So we are two games behind right now. It will take road wins at WVU, BU and/or KU to have a shot IMO.

Also, KU really has a must-win game against WVU at home on Tuesday. If they lose that game, it will be very, very difficult for them to win #12.

This is a huge week for ku. They have WVU any home Tuesday, and go on the road to OU on Saturday.

2-0 they'll probably get at least a share
1-1 with the loss to OU, they are back to same position, but OU's magic number gets smaller
1-1 with loss to wvu, now you gotta worry about WVU winning the conference
0-2 ku's streak is probably over, assuming the top teams win their home games and easy road games

Not really. Besides Baylor last year, Niang hasn't lost at home to anyone besides Kansas.

I know we've never won in Lawrence during Niangs tenure and we lost at Baylor last season.

Torn on the WVU/KU game. Would be huge road win for WVU when they are already a game up in first place. But on the other hand, **** KU.

Depends on what you're looking for. If you want ku's streak to end, no matter who wins the conference, better hope wvu wins.

I wouldn't bet money on KU losing all three of their road games @OU, @Baylor and @Texas.

he wasn't saying Kansas would have to lose all 3 games. Just that they'd have to win some of them.

And are are you really confident that Kansas will win all 3 of those? If given the choice i think the odds are higher they'd lose all 3 than win all 3. This is the team that lost by 20 at Oklahoma state.

The best result for all of the other contenders for the Big 12 crown is for Kansas to beat West Virginia tomorrow night. If West Virginia starts to put a gap on the field with wins @ISU and @KU they will be very tough to catch. Trust me, I get it. I felt very dirty cheering for KSU to beat Oklahoma last Saturday but it had to be done.

I wouldn't bet money on them losing 2 of those games. I think they could trip up at Texas with it being a Big Monday game, but Im confident they beat Baylor, and I still think they crush Sooner dreams this Saturday.

With the exception of ISU on the road, I want everyone to hold home court. I also want Santa to bring me a Lamborghini and to hit the powerball jackpot.

Go Mountaineers. They can't shoot worth beans but they sure do hustle.

"If the top 6 win all remaining home games plus road games against the bottom 4, the final standings would be: ... KU 12-6" Wins in all home games plus road games remaining against bottom four means losing in road games to top 6. So yeah, he was projecting Kansas, currently 7-3 in Big 12 play, would win all their home games plus their road game @ KSU and lose @Texas, @OU and @Baylor. Am I confident that they will WIN all three? No, not at all. But I am confident that they will not LOSE all three. From least to most confident: I think we can win @OU but I doubt we do, I think we probably win @Texas but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't and I think we will win @Baylor.

Exactly. My #1 hope is for ISU to win the conference, which they still are in contention for. The biggest benefit for that right now would be to bring WVU back into the bunch with the rest of us. However, my #2 hope is that KU is nowhere near winning the conference. The biggest benefit for that would be to tack a home loss on them.

I guess the third option is hoping for a very physical 4 OT game that drains both teams and they both lose their next 2.

I'll go on record and say we will not get to 12 conference wins. Winning on the road is awesome but this team is too inconsistent to get to 12

I see a L @Morgantown and @Lawrence. That would be 12-6. I could see maybe Baylor, just because. :realmad:
