They did wear vertical stripes when they played against Brazil July 4, 1994 (yeah, not pinstripes).

And yes, one of the nicknames for the USMNT is the "Yankees".

it isn't "Yankees" it is "Yanks" which i know is the same thing, but to avoid confusion.
I prefer Stars and Stripes anyway.

They never had pinstripes as a uniform for the national team...aleays with a sash style shirt

AND WE ARE NOT THE YANKEES

I know they wore the pinstripe jersey at least once for a friendly a couple of years ago. As far as I know, that was the only time they wore them.

I think the ghana kit was good and here is why: I HATE the solid green, red and yellow business of the cameroon one. ghana simply uses their colors in their patch and has their black star somewhere on their kit. I don't think this picture is what they wore a few days ago, but it is close.

did anyone post why it's called a "kit"?

It's just a name given to the standard equipment and attire worn by the players. It includes the shoes, shinguards, etc. as well as shirt, shorts, and socks. Just the shirt, shorts, and socks are collectively the "strip" or in North America the "uniform".

Denmark. Of course, I don't have a picture to provide, but they're cool. Maybe it's because I'm a Dane, though. A little bias, I suppose...

I have watched a lot of games and can't decide who has the coolest uniform! Any ideas?

I like many of the different team unis, but the Parguay unis are the ones that come to mind first. They remind me of a striped version of the Crotian checkered uni, which I've always liked.
