If you’re going to go compare Iowa State football to other schools only football it doesn’t make sense. Same if you did it for basketball only comparisons. You have to look at the whole picture at Iowa State.
The majority of fans are doing one or the other, not both. So I get what you are saying, but in reality, very few are getting that cost benefit.

I don’t know. I’m sure there’s data on that somewhere. I can’t think of many basketball donors who don’t have football season tickets that I know.

Kansas is 630 ticket and 1175 donation. First one I checked outside of OSU (that was because of your post)
I cant find their new seating map only that tier 1 is that price, no idea if that is club or what, can you supply the link so I can see it, no seating map and costs I can find anywhere in the new stadium etc.

But that being said 1175 goes in to 18k more than 15 times. So, in reality, you would have several thousand extra to put toward bb seats at that rate before going above, ISU. That being said I would guess their BB tickets are much more than ISU, rightfully so.

Not exactly sure.

I went to their ticket office, clicked on buy now and it told me what the ranges were for the sections.

KState has 1300 per ticket donation and 400 per ticket price.

Not sure where you are coming up with your numbers right now.
I looked at this, I didnt include the chairback section because that is their club section like Jack trice club. I look at the yellow sections, which are similar to our Directors seats.

Yeah, I’m sure there’s some but probably not many.

My $1800 donation gets me 3 excellent seats in Hilton (much more valuable than the donation, it’s gone up some over the years). I prefer sitting in the cheap seats for football so don’t sit in my donor area.

Here’s an interesting thought though. I’m row 3 in section 213 for basketball. There’s a donation level where I’d probably have to drop down. I’m not sure what it is but it’s probably around $4000. The next section over is a lower donation but if I were to get booted to a higher row (let’s say 8 or above), I don’t think it’d be worth it to me. So then I’d just get the cheapest seats in Hilton that I could. Or at least in the corner, where I also have season tickets in row 9.

It’s small potatoes but interesting to me.

50 yrd seats on the other side are $210 plus $415 donation, so I have no idea what perks you get on the new side, if those are considered club access etc. or if its just because its new with new shitters.

But like I said its not just about the top level seats, you have to look at the rest too, section to section, top to bottom.

Way better seats than the SEZ, way worse amenities.
I mean sukups main perk is beer, which many schools sell throughout the stadium. JP will never do that.

KSU did for a while, then only in certain areas but added a beer garden area too.

I for one have thought maybe they need to expand the Jack Trice club further down that side. There seems to be a long waiting list to get in there, maybe expanding those premium areas would be a good idea.

Are club sections more valuable than suites now days? Maybe we need to convert some of suits to clubs?

Problem is in many cases it will cost a lot to expand said premium areas, especially if it needs significant expansion project, which I am not sure we will have that money any time soon. So in turn it will continue to be the cost is pushed on the backs of the average fans.

Then why didn’t you do that with OSU when almost 1/4 of the seats are in a suite which require way more than JTS?

You think we’re already too expensive but want to renovate JTS which will cost more money?

Section to section.
I would compare club to club, suite to suite, sideline to sideline, corner to corner etc.

You cant compare a suite to a corner seat etc. That would definitely be apples to oranges. I get it they have more suites, great, maybe we need more, instead of pushing the cost to the average fans.

I mean, that's definitely the pickle ISU is in. It likely needs more premium space which would generate more revenue, but the avenues of doing so from here likely would quickly balloon in cost as we've done the 'easy' options

you really struggle to read my posts, I said that it was the problem, but would cost to build more, so we are stuck pushing it on the regular fans. Read the last paragraph real close.

Who are are regular fans? The ones who don’t donate and pay $309 per seat for season tickets?
