I was just at Theisen's in CR and they have Trimec. In case you have one nearby.
Spectracide. It is cheap at Mennards. Whenever you have the time, spray. Work on one small area at a time/year. I believe mulching mowers spread this stuff if conditions are right. The vinelike tentacles it sends out get chopped up and stuck under the deck. Mow high. It will take over in thin stressed out unkept lawns. My biggest problem areas are in my best soil. It seems to want partial shade. My sunniest and shadiest areas don't ever seem to have a problem.
My experience comes from my back yard, it adjoins a well manicured but CC infested 60 acre public park/disc golf course. I have lived here for over 20 years, control is my only choice. Permanent Elimination is not an option. I will say I have it but you have to look hard for it. Best chances of seeing it is around the middle of August. I used to call it creeping Jenny, but we have new neighbors, her name is Jenny.
