It’s dropped more than 35% 6 times in its history, I believe. And 3 of those drops were >75%. It’s a highly, highly volitale market. I don’t blame anyone for not wanting in.

It's on a dip, happens in literally every market.
The Dow Jones has lost 7% or more in daily trading 6 times in it's entire history of 132 years. That's an average of once every 22 years.

Bitcoin has lost 7% or more in daily trading over 100 times in its brief existence. it does not happen in literally every market

I think we are going to see another 50 percent drop in the cryptos, I'll buy back in when that happens. The garbage coins need to get pushed out and there needs to be adoption where you can pay for things with it

I don't think Bitcoin is like a normal market, but to be fair you are talking oranges and apples. Look at the price of 1 stock and ITS dips and comparing it to BTC is more fair. Now comparing the cryptocurrency market to the dow jones and you are a little more fair.

Which would you have rather bought in 2008? Netflix or Bitcoin?

Now, which would you rather have bought on Jan 16, 2018?

You can apply different time periods to fit your argument.

it will never be a widely-used currency if people are hoarding it for the value to go up.

I mean I mine with nicehash, I don't make a ton but maybe $15 or 20 a week. I would gladly spend it on small purchases if I could. I do get what you are saying though. I think the news cycle and stories.of people getting rich quick is what made it really shoot up. As the news stops covering it as much people will sell it off

Well how did they make news stories about people getting rich quick when it hadn't shot up yet....;)

Every market experiences loses or dips. I expect a dip to come because I thought most coins were overvalued but didn’t think it would be this big

Almost nothing goes to zero. Even bankrupt companies remain with a stock value for some reason or another. Just an easy attack when you don't understand a market.
