My favorite way to browse the CF forums in the morning is to start from my bookmarked https://cyclonefanatic.com/forum/ page and scroll through the first few pages of thread titles. When I see a thread that interests me, I Ctrl-leftclick the thread link to open it in a new tab (using the latest Chrome on Windows 11 Pro). This creates a bunch of open tabs, one for each thread, then I go read those and close the tabs when done.
This has always worked for many years until maybe the last 3-6 months. Some days when I start out, the Ctrl-leftclick feature doesn't work at all and each thread always opens in my main tab. More often, Ctrl-leftclick works to open new tabs for any thread listed on the first page of thread titles. Once I click "Load More" at the bottom of the forums page, Ctrl-leftclick seems to be permanently disabled for all other pages and any further attempts from pages 2, 3, etc result in the thread opening in my main tab.
ChatGPT tells me this is likely a CF issue not a Chrome issue. Says CF is probably intercepting all clicks in Javascript and not handling the Ctrl-leftclick feature correctly.
