Glad this thread was revived. I have two big hangups:
1) I live in Fort Collins, CO, about 60 miles away from all major TV stations in Denver. Most air-wave antennas do not pick up Denver stations, so I can't get local news or the major channels. Any suggestions on boosters to reach further? Finally moved from a townhouse to a house house, so I can invest in a permanent antenna with more access.
2) Biggest hangup on cord cutting is wanting to be able to get ESPN and sister stations for college sports. Don't care about pro sports, of any kind. I've read reviews from those who get Sling that the buffering can be horrible for big games - can anyone confirm or deny this? Also, I've heard that you still have to have an ESPN login (i.e. cable package) to get ESPN on Sling??
Man, I really want to cut the cable. Local stations and college sports are the only hangup, otherwise couldn't care less about TV. Netflix and Prime and Redbox have plenty of viewing options.
