The best wrestling you will ever see is Mick Foley. That guy jumped off three story high structures into stacks of tables, chairs, etc. He was the best IMO.

Do you enjoy fictional TV shows or movies by chance?

Depends.

If it's heavy in CGI but little character development or plot, then no. If it has a good plot, character development and holds a mirror up to the human condition, then yes.

I even enjoy a good comedy that is farcical.

Which is about the best discription of pro wrestling I can come up with. But that is not a popular view with most pro wrestling fans. At least from what I can tell.

We are all victims of nostalgia... we pine for the 80's or 90's because we only remember the peaks. There were just as many stupid and non-sensical lows, but we have magically forgotten about them.

Wrestling always has and always will be ridiculous, which is why it is awesome.

Night 1 of WrestleMania in the books. Rather meh night one but featured 2 home runs. The expected return of Cody Rhodes to WWE and Stone Cold opening one last can of whoop ***.

Stone Cold barely wrestled the first time around. He wasn’t anywhere close to as bad as Goldberg but he was very limited in terms of technical ability. Basically just punched and kicked people until it was time to hit a stunner.

I’m kind of surprised there wasn’t much backstage backlash to him becoming the face of the company during the attitude era. Considering how limited he really was, he really could just cut a good promo and was very average otherwise. Just hit the right nerve at the right time with the fans I guess.

Now do Hulk Hogan in the 80s. Think you'll find some similarities.

At least in the WWF Hogan had a limited skill set and a repetitive match. (his Japan stuff showed he could work multiple styles)

But he could cut a promo and bring eyes to the product.

If wrestling actually counted Dean Malenko would be the greatest of all time
