True, documentaries weren't eligible, but "Glory Road" is a "based-on." It did appear on some committee members' lists and was considered.I think the committee said it is because it's a documentary.

I've never heard the movie 'All the Right Moves. 10,00 audience ratings give a rotten 39% so I'll say pass. Why its even in the bracket?
Maybe we do a Disney Channel original movie bracket. Smart House, Brink, Luck of the Irish, Zenon, Halloweentown.I haven’t thought about the movie Brink in decades. A true classic. Now I want to watch it.
Definitely need someone other than me, I recognized 0 of those .Maybe we do a Disney Channel original movie bracket. Smart House, Brink, Luck of the Irish, Zenon, Halloweentown.
There’s some bangers and that’s just scratching the surface. Would probably need some younger people on the committee since the first one was like 1998
Lucas is a great movie, but not sure I'd consider it a sports movie.I forgot all about Lucas when we were putting this thing together. Not sure if it would have made the tournament, probably not, but still a good movie.
Game 4 Gridiron
4. Remember the Titans (Heart emoji)
13. Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby (Rainbow emoji)
Yeah, but the movie that is beating it is from 2002. I was 12 when it came out, and I've been out of college for over a decade. I wouldn't call it particularly new.For those that say because CF age skews older that older stuff will always win out the in progress upset of Raging Bull is proving that theory wrong.

It's a best of all time tourney. One of the things that makes a movie in any genre a best of all time is longevity and the ability to hold up over many years. That makes it tough to lean too heavily on movies that have only been out there for a small handful of years. That said, the committee did try to include as many movies that would be considered "recent", from the 2010s and later, as we could.Yeah, but the movie that is beating it is from 2002. Agree, Field of Dreams and Vision Quest would be at a minimum my elite 8 possibly Final Four. Vision Quest has one of the best soundtracks of all time and a hot chick making it a classic. This doesn't feel right...the most even matchup ever between a 1 and a 16! LOVE both films!
Not only that, but movies aren't exactly good nowadays. It's mostly remakes, reboots, biopics, and comic book movies. I see maybe one new movie per year that I like. It's not just the writing, I feel like acting has gone way down hill also. We live in an age where you don't have to have any talent to become an actor. It's a best of all time tourney. Nope. Movies in the 70s, 80s, and some in the 90s were original and well made.Hasn't this been the formula about the whole time?

I disagree with "many." Yes, there were some movies like that being made, but not as much as now. I can probably list over 1,000 original movies from the 80s alone, just off the top of my head (because I'm a nerd). Even the C and D list movies from then are better than half the crap that is being made today. I do admit that some of the biopics being made now are pretty good, but I do dislike 99% of the remakes. And that still happens.
Many in that era were also reboots, remakes, superhero movies and biopics with original ideas sprinkled in.
BASEketball, Kingpin, and White Men Can't Jump are my favorites from the lower seeds. Those are all in my top 10 sports movies of all time.Outside of The Sandlot, my favorite sports movies are mostly low seeds or not included. Not expecting much from my picks.

It's actually not THAT low, I think a 9 seed, if I'm not mistaken. It got a tough draw for sure. It's probably my favorite basketball movie.****, I had White Men Can’t Jump on my list of lower seeds to put on the list but forget after jumping pages.
