Either you're missing the jimlad, or you forgot that the other team will just bat it down rather than intercept it (except when they forget and get greedy).

I remember Iowa 20 years ago intercepting a 4th and long thrown from midfield from Ohio State on the 5 yard line. Hawks ended up punting out of their own end zone and lost the game.

I **** you not, there were times this year we were so disgusted, It'd have been fine if they'd have done it every 3rd down, at least then for sure the defense would have tried to catch it (and your "pin back" percentage would have gone up!!!)

HAHA! I knew one of you guys would have this take! I'm guessing that at most of these Hail Mary's took place at the end of a half or the end of the game...and as such getting a pick is a good pad of your stats. If it was the middle of the game, who knows how it would end up!
