The kid from Dubuque Wahlert (that is originally from Louisiana) at 160 is a beast (Josh Ramirez?).

Sounds like he has some major D1 interest. He won 3 state titles in Louisiana and has pinned his first round and quarter opponents so far. He's only wrestled in like 13 matches this year.
WIN Magazine has him going to Iowa State, is that NOT true ?

I wonder where Aden Reeves of Albia will project in college. Wrestling 120 this year & ranked #14 at 120 by Intermat. With losing Storr, we really could use somebody from 125-141. I think Gomez ends his career at 141. And Simmons will be a Redshirt junior next year.

I know he is committed to Campbell and Kolat/Garret Kiley, but would be great to get him to Iowa State. Does he workout with Sebolt in Ames or go to CRTC practices?

Is anyone real familiar with the Waukee wrestling program? I went to high school there and about 10 years ago wrestling was an afterthought. Checked in on the state tourney and saw they were runner up to Fort Dodge in the duals and are right on their tails in the traditional tournament. Seems like quite a rise from my days when just about anyone could show up for practice and make the team. Any D1 guys coming out of there?

I know this isn’t Iowa State related, but just wanted to give a shout to Deville Dentis of East. Into the 3A semis at 138. He’s seen just over 80 seconds of mat time so far. Has a tough semi, but I think he can get it done.

Sorry to sidetrack, but they are doing some good things at my alma mater.

Dentis into the final with another pin. This time taking out the #1 kid at the weight. On a mission.

Not sure where Fye is going. Think I heard, but don't recall. Unfortunately, he just got beat by Cresco kid. Think his late season injury is coming into play.

My friend from NH says he thinks Fye is done with wrestling, at least temporarily.
