Just out of curiosity, if you were building a team and could use players from Iowa State and Iowa, what would your team look like? Here's mine:

Ejim
Niang
Hogue
Marble
Kane

Bench-
White
Naz
Thomas
Olaseni
Morris
Uthoff
Ellerman, just for kicks.

That'd be a good team. Whatever the Hawk haters say, I think Marble and White are both very good players. Olaseni is also way better than Woody (his defense lacks at time on rotations) and is way more athletic than Woody yet doesn't start.

Yeah, but I am curious as to how good of a team a mixture of Iowa State and Iowa players would be, and who would be the starting five. I mean, nobody has brought this up before and I think it is really worth thinking about because people are talking about it all the time and I think it is an important topic to bring up because it would be an interesting thing to combine the two teams to see just how good they would be if they actually could take the floor and play a team like Arizona, and I bet a combined Iowa State-Iowa team could win the NCAA tournament and stuff like that.

Seriously, are there so few of us who are absolutely sick of Iowa talk-direct or indirect
 
I think the real question is in three parts...

What would a mega Iowa State/George Mason team be?
What would a mega Iowa State/Oregon State team be?
What would a mega Iowa State/TBD team be?

Answer those questions and I think we are on to something. I'd probably put Marble and White on all three of those team because even though they are on Iowa and we beat them it is important to keep being nice and letting those players take part.

And what if Niang, Ejim, Kane, White, and Marble combined into a real-life, 15 foot tall, basketball-playing Voltron? What would that be like?
 
What would be the best team you could put together if all the following were true?

1. It included players from Iowa and ISU,
2. if the Hawkeyes really won the game Friday,
3. if the student section hadn't used profanity,
4. if we didn't boycott Murph and Andy,
5. and if we didn't rush the court?

I am not sure about those three teams players (especially TBD) but the only player I think could crack ISU's 8 man rotation from the last non-con, Northern Illinois roster is Abdel Nader. wait...
