Hopefully they got to him quickly enough so things can be reversed.
I'm hoping for this as well. My dad suffered a stroke a couple days before Christmas. We had him to the hospital within 30 minutes of the first signs something was wrong. He is expected to make a full recovery, eventually, because we got him to the hospital so quickly.

I'm glad this thread turned into a ******* match. Because that's awesome.

Hopefully he recovers quickly. Such a great guy, hate to see stuff like this.

I'm with CycloneVet and 00Clone on this one, Why does it matter if he is a head coaching again? Give your condolences. No need to speculate.

Athletic Department Statement on Dan McCarney - North Texas Mean Green Athletics

Athletic Director Rick Villarreal released a statement on the health of Dan McCarney:

"Yesterday afternoon after returning from Miami I spoke with Margy McCarney who said that her husband, Dan, had experienced some medical difficulties significant enough that he was taken to the hospital. The details that we know at this time are that he was admitted and is currently undergoing a battery of tests and will continue to be under observation. The exact cause and nature of the symptoms of his illness are not immediately known by us at this time. The family has asked until a complete diagnosis and a course of treatment is established that their privacy be respected. We can't comment any further at this time and will release information as it becomes available and approved by the family."

Praying for Coach DMac. Doesn't matter where you go, you're always a Cyclone.
