I think we can make it to the tourny. The gelling thing is a must. Another factor could be how Hamilton developed over the summer. A big body that can lean on players and get the open score and pull down a few rebounds would really help the chances.

There were a couple more wins vs. KU in that time span, but I kept to the victories in which we scored under 70.

If anything, the only way we beat KU is to grind a win out.

You see what I'm saying though. I kinda meant Kansas as in.."the big boys" We NEED to score more points in this league if we want to have any success IMO. That or put up more points in the 2nd half than we do in the 1st. A lead at half last year didn't mean a thing to me.

I understand we are all Cyclone fans around here so everybody is scared of getting their hopes up only to get kicked in the bag but...

We've got one of the best players in the entire country. We've got a player who not only do our coaches think is legit or our 'insiders' on this board think is legit but now the Big 12 coaches and officials think is the best newcomer in the whole conference. Guys, Gilstrap doesn't get that preseason award without a lot of coaches understanding he is a major talent. You round that out with what I think can be a solid foundation around those two and how the heck can you be skeptical about our chances of dancing? I understand the schedule, I understand how difficult the conference will be this year but c'mon guys let's get excited about this team!

Exactly what I am thinking. With Brackins and Gilstrap, we should be able to be expecting a good year. Hell, I am excited to see how much Ham has developed too, he was really impressing me with his development through last year.

The guards have to step up, but hopefully Diante, Lucca, Chris, and Scott will. I am most curious to see Christofferson and Colvin play.

I have been a supporter of Coach and will be this season, but this is the year he must deliver.

Guard play will determine how far this team goes. CB and MG will be handicapped without at least adequate guard play (which I think we will get).

I agree with the Hamilton talk. If he can just keep progressing under GMac and developing that nasty side...look out.
