Was reading about this kid in the DM paper and he is putting up some monster numbers for Sioux City North. 22 ppg 12 rpg as a Sophomore. 6'4", does anyone know more about him, his recruitment(if it exists), if he could be a target for us in the future, etc.?

I've seen Daniel play many times. He's a good high school player and can score but he's pretty slow and not a great defender. He's pretty mentally unstable too but he should mature as he gets older. I could see Daniel in Iowa's system.. Kind of a Zach McCabe type, except with better scoring ability. Doesn't seem to fit in Fred's system at this point.

I grew up with his older brother and his mother was a teacher of mine. His brother went to ISU and yes he is related to John Tillo. Great kid and great family. I know McDoormat is already recruiting him hard but i think he could make an impact at ISU.

John Tillo was a basketball player for ISU. He played late seventies and early eighties.

Uhh, yeah. And his DAD, John Sr played football at ISU. Did you miss where I typed UNCLE? John Jr is Daniel's uncle.

So his whole family were clones. So you're saying he's ours if we want him.

Not a whole lot on him, but his numbers this season have been impressive. Plays for the All-Iowa Attack AAU team and played well last summer too. Creighton has their eye on him from what I understand and I'm sure other local schools have at least taken notice to a degree. However, at this point there hasn't been much for D1 recognition for him. I'm sure if he keeps the numbers up through this AAU season we may hear more about him.

He has lots of time to develop his skills. He must be able to play defense though.
