See Fran...Or you don't lose assistants because no one wants them.
Not that again.......Good luck to Coach D-Rob. He's paid his dues and I hope he has great success.
(How about interviewing Jeff Grayer for an assistant job? I wonder if he'd be interested).
Hard to beat his Chicago connections, but I believe Blount has some Chicago connections as well. I remember noting the overlap in my mind when the staff was filled out. Will this negatively affect recruiting in any geographic region? Also, I know he has a son that's a great player at Centennial. Did he have a chance to be a future Cyclone or is he even D1 material?
Landing spot for Jaden Walker?
Very happy for Coach D-Rob. He's earned his stripes and I am sure he has a clear vision of how he wants to move Cleveland State forward - and he'll have an action plan in place soon after he arrives in Cleveland and has a chance to evaluate the lay of the land. Go get 'em Coach.
If Pittsburgh can turn it around, Cleveland can.Cleveland has a bad rap as a city, but after having spent some time there, mostly in downtown Cleveland, it has a lot going for it. And Cleveland State's campus is right downtown itself. Really nice spot for him to land his first head coaching gig.
This is a bit of a stretch to say Robinson is under TJs coaching tree if you know anything about Robinson’s background. I love TJ but need to be realistic. He is more Prohm or McDermott.TJ already has a coaching tree. Simply amazing.
Speaking of Kansas - hire the father of the #1 player in America.Good luck to Danyial! I'm excited to see who TJ brings into the staff. Could use another top notch Chicago recruiter
Daniyal Robinson (dan-yell) was retained by head coach T.J. Otzelberger in the spring of 2021 and is in his seventh season at Iowa State. It is Robinson’s second stint in Ames after previously serving on Greg McDermott’s staff from 2008-10. He was also on Steve Prohm's staff from 2015-21.
who might that be?Speaking of Kansas - hire the father of the #1 player in America.
