Huge Money fan here. The kids got a ton of talent and if somebody does not see that it's just mind blowing. I don't think a single person has anointed the Heisman to him but the kid has a ton of talent.

"Thug" is even more idiotic if he's talking about on the field. The guy has been in two games, and has never been a jerk. Where are all of his personal fouls? Where is the gloating? The kid has tried hard - all we can ask of a player.

He wasn't talking about Darius. Here's his quote:

------------------

"I am not pointing a finger @ Darius. I am talking about LJ and KB too. Watch the replay of the NDSU game. On one play you will see LJ talking smack, waiving his arms on the sidelines, and on the next he and KB are giving up a TD to a TE. Open your eyes."

------------------

Also, I think that everyone is treating "possession receiver" as if it's some sort of slam against a player. Hell, I think it's actually a compliment and as I said it would be good to have him be our go to guy on 3rd down.

I didn't read all the posts -- just thought I'd share my opinion of Money. I personally felt that Money had the 3rd worst game (AA worst, Banks 2nd). Hopefully it was just one of those days for all of them.

But specifically, I remember a number of times where I totally thought that Money was abandoning the "good" play to go for a "BIG" play. One clear example was a 3rd and medium (I think) play. He caught the ball 2 yard short of the 1st down. He stood there looking straight up the field and it seemed obvious that he could make 2.5 yards, a first down, and get tackled. Instead, he juked and jabbed and looked for the "BIG" play -- and was fortunate to make the first down (yes, he did make it at least). Maybe AA was throwing behind him all day, but he seemed to be looking to run before he caught some passes. Still our leading receiver (I think?) at the game . . . Might be good for him to back off a little bit, take what he's given, and try to get fancy big plays after he establishes himself as dependable.

There has been this concern about the receivers. Im not concerned about them yet. Norm Parker was daring us to run the ball last Saturday. Thats what we needed to do then. But we didn't. We threw into the double and triple coverage continuously. Not the receivers fault. What worries me is AA. He hasn't looked good at all. Murph and Andy brought up a good point: is AA a very accurate passer?? Even last year? I'm starting to wonder. He has plenty of gifts, but Im not sure accuracy is one of those. He may not be accurate enough for this type of offense. Just sayin.....

This offense... AA/Arob/Money/etc/etc all have a long way to go. Its a process. Hermans offense really blew the doors off everyone in year 2. Coincidently, other than about 2-3 starters everyones coming back next year.

Lets focus on getting some more wins, and showing improvement all season, then put some high expectations on everyone.

Also, has Darks even seen the field this year? Reynolds #5 always looks so close to #6 from the stands.... Getting another skill set as an option to utilize back on the field will help out the offense.

This.

From what i remember in the 2nd qtr, we had 2 consecutive possessions where we didn't run once. Considering Arob was rolling for about 4 YPC early on, I thought that was rather questionable.

Darks has played in both games. Right now I think he is AA's 5th option and AA never has time to progress that far (if he even progresses past option 1 or 2).
I'd like to see a few plays run for Sed if he is healthy.

I dont think this thread is ripping him. Its good opinionated info. No harm done Rosshall...its cool. I will share my info and both me and Moneys thoughts in a few...(P.S.- The name Money came from a friend of the family when Darius was 11 years old. He was never sir-named, nor did he elect to call himself that. Please dont allow a nickname to paint a false picture of his attitude or "thug" personality. Hes soft spoken, quiet, and a team player)Thanks, tough loss yesterday. As a team we get better.

I do not think of him as a thug. His room mates think a lot of him, well at least one that I know. Only met him once and he was very quite. I also want to ask the fan base to wait until mid season. I think this young man will blow you away. No cult following just an honest O.
My wife will call him money and my son always corrects her.
