How does DMB compare to Mumford in Wavery? I was at that show and am considering Dave. Similar pot consumption? Will this guy be at Dave too?

Pretty great set last night. Fun mix of old and new. It was the first time I'd seen 'The Song That Jane Likes' live so obviously that was a highlight for me. The guys seemed full of energy and into it. I had never seen them indoors before so I was a bit worried how it was going to feel.

The fanbase of DMB leaves a lot to be desired though. I guess I avoid most of the 'dudebros' at outdoor shows by being up close. People around us talked through the whole acoustic segment.

I've been to a ton of shows, and the pot consumption in Waverly was unbelievable. I've really only experienced something like that at Phish.

Last night, there was definitely some pot in the crowd, but not nearly as much as I'm used to at an outdoor Dave show. I enjoyed last night's show, but it just kind of seemed lackluster compared to any show I've been to at Alpine Valley.

Glad it was a sweet show! Yeah, I started get a little funny feeling halfway though Mumford... People were smoking some very, very good weed.

Really enjoyed the show. For some reason it just feels right to end with Ants Marching.

Great show, and great set list. I think there is some serious set list envy out there from other cities, judging by what I've seen on the web - good for Des Moines!

I agree there are some clueless people out there regarding concert etiquette. Not sure it's a DMB thing - just bad manners and people thinking the world revolves around them. The people behind me were in full scale conversation through the first 2 songs, and then I finally said something.

That sh** wouldn't fly for 1/2 song for a concert I'd enjoy. I have zero tolerance for that.

I know, but that's how backwards it has become - they're being rude, they don't care about the people around them, hell, if they are that uninterested in the artist, why are they even there - - but I'm the one concerned about coming off as the bad guy by saying something

Don't be. If they don't have enough withitness the moment they arrive, they need to be told to back off. This kid who was shotgunning beers (probably well under 21) behind me during a Cards and Royals game was so obligerant, our whole section wanted to him out of Kansas City. I lead our group in getting him escorted out. As he was getting escorted, the little cretin was yelling f-bombs at our section and we just laughed at him. Great time!

I was at the show and thought it was a pretty good time. One thing I will complain about is the setup. We had front row seats in section 107 and aisle seats 1+2. The setup for people with GA to get down to the floor was atrocious. I got asked continually to hold peoples beers while they climbed over the railing to get to the floor. After the 3rd one I simple said no, sorry.

Another complaint is to actually have the floor full. Sell more GA tickets or something. It didn't seem like a packed crowd because the floor was only 2/3 of the way full. Lots of pot smoking around me but that only made the show even better imo. I'll agree with the ones saying there were a lot of people talking. Overall I give it a 7/10 for a DMB show and it would've been less had the setlist not kicked butt.

Were you in section 204? The people in the row behind us were talking over the first 2 songs until someone said something.
