For those complaining how hard it is on them to switch. Do you ever stay up late or sleep in? Do you manage to get over that random change in your sleep pattern, every time you do it? Or do you go to sleep and wake up exactly the same time every single day of the year, even on holidays and weekends?

Asking for a friend. :jimlad:
Not the same, because that scenario only applies to me, not the majority of the U.S.

LOL, you think the majority of the US has a perfect sleep schedule that is never altered except for those 2 days a year? Never stays up late on a weekend. Never gets up early for some reason. Never goes to bed or wakes up at a different time, and survives?

I hope you are being sarcastic.

I was also asking what you or others do, not asking what you think the majority do...although common sense says what the majority does.

Not really sarcastic, just observing that it doesn’t matter what I do or choose to do as an individual, if the country (most of it) is on one schedule.

Ugh that crap is coming up soon. I always end up working a 9 hour shift that night, rather than the usual 8.
I used to work some overnight shifts in radio, and I’ve had some during both clock shifts. The ones in the fall were an hour longer, but that hour had no ads sold for it, so it was a commercial-free “rock block” hour, lol. In spring, though, I had to find an another place to put the ads for the 2:00 am hour that no longer existed.

(It was the overnight shift, it was only two commercials an hour anyway, but still)

I lived in Indiana for several years before they passed a law in 2006 to change the clocks and it was wonderful. When we moved back to Iowa, we really appreciated how nice that was. The kid argument doesn't hold water, my kids were always going to school in the dark even with the time change.

That time of Year again to set the clocks back tomorrow night.

Bad News: Gets dark early

Good News: We MAY get an extra hour to celebrate the Cyclones Victory over KU!
Or instead we get an extra hour to wallow in our sorrows.

Too many older clocks in this house that don't reset themselves. First thing I have to do is figure out what time it actually IS. Oy...

Loving it. I feel so productive this morning:
  1. Breakfast
  2. Watched some YouTube subscriptions
  3. Viewed ISU v KU post game commentary
  4. Showered
  5. Finished last 2 episodes of Paranoid on Netflix
  6. Grabbed a latte at coffee shop.
What the F***, it's only 9am. Worn out need a nap. Wait aren't the Dolphins/Chefs on.

I would rather it be day time later in the day and not in the morning

Same. On work days, the morning is all about getting ready and leaving for work. When I get home, I’d at least like to do any chores I need to outside while it’s till light out. If not, then it waits until the weekend.

I think we should move the clock back an hour every Sunday. What could go wrong!?
