i find you quite UN-funny, as much as you think you are.
please stop.
Thanks, it's a great thing there are so many differing opinions out there. That's what makes it fun, I guess I can't appease to everyone comedic tastes. :skeptical:

On a side note, that's still a fairly young age anyway. Look at the Steelers Defensive line coach. He's like 72 and still going strong.:notworthy:
I agree a more mature person on staff would not be all bad.

just because you can find one or two guys out there doing DC work older than 65 doesn't mean 65 is "fairly young." I mean 65 is old. AARP old. Medicare old. And 90 is ancient, not just old. I don't mind having a 65 year old DC if it is to be but we should at least be able to call a spade a spade.
65 is not nearly as old as it used to be. Nobody would guess **** LeBeau is in his 70's. He looks like he's in his late 50's. When people like Bowden and Paterno are doing what they're doing at 79 and 80, 65 ain't old. 65 is older, but not old.
FWIW, I used to believe 65 was old - until I was 40. And you're eligible for AARP at 50.
I worked for AARP for a while about 10 years ago. They made each of us employees associate members, or something like that. So, I've been some sort of AARP member since I was 26.
I take it you worked at home?
My theoretic defensive coordinator has a couple of connections to the staff and is 64. Good Big 12/8 roots.

65 is still old. 70 year old coaches are the exception, not the norm. And they never will be the norm. I agree 65 isn't as old as it used to be but that is relative. When the average life span for men in this country is 76 years old that puts you pretty much within a decade of the average lifespan. That is old, no matter how young you feel or want to be.
A 65 year old can expect to live longer than the average life span. He has already gotten over the hurdles of issues such as childhood illnesses and higher risk behavior associated with younger lifestyles. Any actuary table takes these factors into consideration.
