I saw that footage last night. I didn't think there was a way to pull off the goofiness of Deadpool on film. I stand corrected. Frickin awesome.

It is Reynolds. He was the abomination of "Deadpool" in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Such a disappointing movie. Reynolds is perfect for the Merc with a Mouth though.

That footage was highly entertaining and I think it would do well even as an R rated superhero movie.

I'm pretty pumped for this. Ryan Reynolds is perfect for this role. Hopefully the writers find some funny ways to break the 4th wall along with the typical Deadpool boob and **** jokes

Hate to break it to you, but the footage is from a few years ago. It's just test footage. No movie has been greenlit.

Definitely one of my favorite superheroes. I own New Mutants #98 and used to have the whole Deadpool standalone series, as well as the limited runs. Sadly, I no longer collect comics, but I'm sure I still have that New Mutants issue somewhere. Might be worth something someday...

There are listing on ebay from $175 to $750 but the 750 is signed by Stan Lee.

I think my brother might have #98 as well.

Sounded like Ryan Reynolds? That cant be can it since he's the Green Lantern.

Surely DC/Warner is re-casting Green Lantern for their Justice League projects after that movie bombed. I can't believe they'd feel any reason or obligation to keep Reynolds and/or tie in to that garbage movie.

To be fair, I thought the early parts where they actually let Reynolds talk were one the bright spots in that movie.

man, that movie was awful. I like how Stryker forces Wolverine's girlfriend to conspire with him by basically holding her sister hostage. Then, at the end, she uses her telepathic powers to control him and make him leave. why the heck didn't she do that in the first place? All she had to do was touch him, apparently, and she could make him do whatever she wanted. Why not go that route immediately?

You're looking for consistent story logic in a movie that featured a Black Eyed Pea as super-powered soldier of fortune?

Yep, that movie was just a disaster the whole way around. Plus taking characters like Gambit, Deadpool, and Emma Frost and minimizing them was just unacceptable.

Just watched the clip again, this movie could just be fantastic, and something the whole comic book genre of movies has never seen before.

So, I had no idea who Deadpool was before seeing this, but thus clip is hilarious and a movie would be outstanding. Wonder what the real (or reel) hold up is?
