The jokes in the previews are so lame. I like Ryan Reynolds, and he's good with that type of humor, but the movie looks like it thinks it's a lot funnier than it is. Pass.
It's actually really good and funny.

my only problem is I had a group of six 5th graders sitting behind my friend and me. Thy were freaking out at all the nudity and swear words. Idk who their parents were but why did they let them go see it? Plus they never shut up.

Don't judge this one on the previews. It's very funny but it's also R so a lot of the funniest parts can't be shown on TV. It reminds me of The Hangover (the first one). I thought the previews looked terrible, but then I went and saw it and ended up laughing my *** off.

I went yesterday, and couldn't believe it when a family came in with a stroller! The parents brought their newborn, and what looked to be their 7 or 8 year old son to that movie.

yeah I wondered if some parents took their kids to see this movie just based on it being a comic book movie.

You would think the hard R, would have given them a heads up...

We were ID'd in Ames before buying the ticket and even right before entering the movie itself and we are near 40 in a college town.

Agree with taking the small kids - I went this weekend both to see the movie and to kind of screen it for my 5 year old - Who LOVES deadpool, thanks to lego superheroes for Xbox. I thought... maybe if there were a few cuss words here and there I could cover his ears... NOPE entire movie is cuss words. Very NOT appropriate for younger than probably 12 to 14, depending on your parental strictness.

Very good movie though!

I hesitated letting my 8 year old watch Guardians of the Galaxy. People are morons if they think Deadpool is kid appropriate.

Yeah, it has pretty much everything you try to keep your kid from seeing. Violence, check. Nudity, check. Profanity, check check check check....

I'll be pretty lenient with my children because my parents were with me and i turned out ok. That said, even I wouldn't allow my child to watch that movie.

Forming opinions based on previews and not on the actual movie? Sounds like you're a full fledge critic. Please continue to share your enlightening, uninformed opinions more with us.

That's kinda what previews are for.

"You look like an avocado that had sex with an older avocado." Gut-busting.

There were some followups to that in the movie that killed me. Then his discussion about the smell later in the movie was great too.

That's not even the real quote. Did you watch the greenband trailers or something?
Sooner or later it was bound to happen that people see popularity in something and have to be the few that say it sucks. Internet hipsters at their finest.

I've yet to miss a Marvel movie and this one was by far my favorite. I can honestly see the Avengers series losing its luster for me now simply because of how tame it will feel (high hopes for Civil War though).

I counted roughly 10 kids in the theater under the age of 10 when I saw it. Only one family left early. Then I had two ladies likely in their 70's sitting next to me laughing at absolutely everything. Might have to see this one again.

What's the quote then? I don't know where I saw the trailer. I don't seek out trailers, just see some on regular TV. Sorry, the humor sounds like it's intended for the kids that populate the first couple rows of Cyclone Alley.
