Per court docs, police measured peak decibel level of 60 outside BDJ's apt. That’s "normal conversation" per WebMD http://*******/1GhW7KX

Similar thing happened to me a couple years back, though with building security, not police. I got a noise complaint with people over, everyone 100% sober, no music, no TV. Just regular talking. Some walls are excessively thin and some people excessively crazy about noise.

Which, at 3 in the morning with (presumably) no other sound, is loud enough to disturb people trying to study/sleep. And if it's someone who's been a constant problem, I'm sure the neighbors have lost their patience.

If you live in a college town apartment, this is not bad at all. If they were raging in said house with music turned up really loud, then yeah I'd be ok with a suspension. But just 4 people chatting with background music at 3 am? Sounds pretty typical to me and not worthy of a suspension

A source say that even though BDJ was not under the influence, there was a bit of marajuana that was not claimed when found by the police. Due to the fact BDJ''s name is on the lease they took him into custody. WHo knows if it was BDJ's, Nader's, or anyone else who was there. But word is that BDJ will not be playing no matter what the outcome.

Cops dont have access to lease agreements...

I have literally never seen a judge throw out a criminal complaint filed by the police for failing to show the proper allegations that the crime was actually committed.

This sounds like it was not good police work by whoever drew up the complaint and was a definitely trumped up based on the evidence they had at the time.

This should really be a possession of marijuana charge for the individual whose bedroom was it was in.

That doesn't sound very exciting.

60 is nothing and the whole thing is incredibly stupid. I have a hard time understanding how a player could be dumb enough to let drugs in his apartment. I'm at a loss for words. I know that a lot of them are smoking weed, but have a couple of brain cells left not to kill your future...

I asked the same question and they were not really knowledgeable in the answer. He was just saying what he knows of the situation. I dont know if it is 100% positive but that is the only reason i can see the police taking just BDJ. It looks like the situation is going to go away for the most part, but I am scared they will still hld him out in Iowa City solely for the situation happening at 3am on a Thursday morning, just to make a point.

That's pretty disingenuous. If it is that loud through walls at 3AM then it is beyond annoying for people in neighboring apartments who are trying to sleep. Especially if there is a lot of bass involved.

Still not very far over the limit.

60Db is the daytime limit in ames, 55 the limit midnight-7am.
