So they're just supposed to ignore the fact other people in the building are probably trying to sleep, and let BDJ blare his music as loud as wants? With finals coming up? Ok idiot.

They did when I called in a noise complaint at 2 AM during finals week.

If they keep getting calls they have to do something. If you wanna be ****** take it out on BDJ. He's the effin moron here.

Sorry if I don't feel having a loud stereo is a big deal. At least I don't prance around on my high horse and act like I am the supreme moral person CF.

Yea, but getting warned 5 times is. Wouldn't have been a big deal if he complied and turned it down after the first couple of warnings.

I'm starting to be convinced that if the cops found a dead body on the floor of his place and BDJ had a bloody knife in his hands some of you would try to claim he was just trying to help clean up.

My god. He was an idiot. Many athletes are idiots. He'll be punished as he deserves to be. Don't make yourselves look stupid by blaming this one on the Ames PD. It actually sounds like they've been going out of their way to try to keep him out of trouble.

I agree... its like fans of a team in this state that rationalized the signing of 26 year convicted felon.

Suspend him indefinitely so he can work it out with the legal system. If there's more clarity in the situation then allow him back in January or so. But you've got to make a point to the kid if he's been given this many opportunities and still didn't care. 1 or 2 games isn't going to do that.
Lol not gonna happen bro.

There seems to be a spectrum ranging from people who think he gets off Scott free to people acting like he is never coming back. If a DUI is a 2 game suspension, then this is probably a game to 3 max i would think.

If they can't link the pot directly to BDJ (as dumb as that actually seems) I think it's a lone game, maybe the second. While I maintain that irregardless of how people feel about pot legalization - it IS illegal. Simple - you don't do it. But in the grand scheme - I agree that it's not nearly the issue DUI is.

It sounds to me like the police went out of their way on multiple occasions to resolve this issue. Imagine being a police officer in this situation.

#1 You've received multiple calls on noise. If you don't do anything, the people calling in will accuse you of giving preferential treatment to athletes.

#2 This happens two days before a big in state game so you know you're going to be the bad guy for arresting him.

#3 It was so bad that you worked with the basketball team to take care of the problem.

Just a wild guess here but a non athlete would not have gotten the same breaks.

Maybe his neighbors thought it was a big deal at 3 freaking AM.

My first question would be if he pleads not guilty which he will this won't be decided until after the season, guarantee u that. How does Isu suspend him if he's potentially not guilty? Clayborn at iowa hitting taxi driver, same thing. Just an example of delayed trial. Second, it's not as bad as it sounds could have been much worse. Had he been caught with weed it's an auto 3 game suspension per ISU policy of 10% of season missed. It's isu policy not CFH policy. BDJ goes to fred and says yes I. An idiot for loud noise and staying up late but I had no idea my buddy was smoking weed( you know what I mean) and I'm not guilty. Knowing full well any decent attorney will shred that charge if the cops changed based on smell and it's a first offense. So basically u are looking at two simple misdemeanors which is a speeding ticket. Does ISU have a case to suspend him for 3 games?

Need to Can Newton this situation. Indefinitely Suspend him today and then pull the suspension tomorrow at about 6:45 for lack of evidence. Don't think there is an Honor Before Victory plaque outside of Hilton is there?

If you were the neighbor who has to work at 6 in the morning and the aholes next door haven't learned their lesson after being reported 5 different times then you'd probably feel differently.

Or if you were the cops who had continually given him warnings that he kept ignoring then you may feel differently as well. Sooner or later they have to do their job. Good lord.
