Seems to me that Fred should be looking for a way to get BDJ (and Nader I suppose) out of that Apt and someplace a little more ... lenient, isolated, controllable etc.

In no way am I excusing BDJ in this - just change the dynamic at play here.

Sharing my opinion just like everyone else. I've even made it clear twice now that I thought Jok should have been suspended for his incidents. I'm not letting bias get in the way here.

BDJ isn't going to learn anything if he continues to be allowed to do whatever he pleases at the expense of those around him. I think the right thing to do is suspend him for a couple games just like I thought with Jok. However, selfishly I'd rather see BDJ play. Will be much more entertaining to watch the two teams play at full strength. No excuses necessary.

tl;dr

Are you really that dense? If it was such a problem then he should have suspended earlier when those incidents happened. How is 5 decibels over the legal limit the straw that breaks the camels back?

Some of you got your hopes up with the drug charges and now are latching onto anything and everything.

5 decibels is the straw that breaks the camels back because the police had been called many times before without any fines/arrest, had a meeting with BDJ, the neighbor and Fred where they all agreed to the rules and BDJ went ahead and broke the agreed upon rules.

I'm sure Fred will have some punishment for BDJ. Might be a game, might be a half, might be not starting or it might be running extra.

If I were a coach and had to go to a meeting with my player and cops and all my player had to do was turn down his freaking music in the middle of the night, I would be royally ****** off that my player screwed up again.

Im certain he will. Maybe not the entire game be he will. Being suspended because you were being as loud as a normal conversation is would be the dumbest suspension ever. This guy called the cops on him something like a dozen times in 4 months. he probably was in the fault some of those times, but this sounds like more of an angry neighbor than anything else to me. There are plenty of unknowns in this case, such has if BDJ was being obnoxiously loud the other times or if all these cases were like this, and we don't know what Hoiberg told Bryce when they had their talks, but these 2 quotes lead me to believe that what he had been doing wasn't as bad as we all expected it to be

We came to an agreement that no more noise would happen," White said. "The trash in the hallway would stop, the being disrespectful would stop, the bass would be turned off during the week-they could have it on during the weekends and at my discretion I could text them and tell them it was getting too loud."
Seems like we have a ****** neighbor here too. Like I said before, BDJ probably was causing some issues, but the way his neighbor said what was going on sounds like he's over stating a few things here and there.

A crappy neighbor? He gave him multiple chances an way to fix the problem. Sounds like bdj is an *******.

Not sure if it was a good idea for the Daily to publish the name of the kid who called the cops on him. Poor guy is gonna have a tough few days.

Ok, let me clarify- I do think Jok should have gotten a lengthier suspension (2-3 games). I honestly feel that way. The point I was making is you cant let DeJean Jones off like he is a first time offender, because the baggage he has isnt one of an incoming freshman, or first timer.

Also, gosh, some of you are REALLY thinned skinned. I welcome Clones to the hawk board. Its nice to hear opinions outside of the bubble of your team. Especially ribsnwiskey. How about instead of just cussing at someone like some ****** off 4 year old who just dropped their sucker on the ground, you actually articulate the way you feel, and we can have a conversation.

The noise coming out of the apartment was loud enough that it sounded like normal conversation outside the apartment building. Thats awfully loud inside the apartment and pretty loud inside a neighbor's apartment for 3 am.
