Just my personal opinion... but do we have to dog on every player who leave's our program. He put on an ISU jersey for a year... and played hard for us and I appreciate that.

He chose to go elsewhere... wish him luck... and let's move on.

At some points yes. I had season tickets and didn't see it all the time. People might mistake his tremendous raw athleticism for effort.

I don't like the name calling stuff about him but he bailed on ISU, teammates, fans, a couple times during the season.

To play hard for us you also need to hit the books and make grades, that is very much in question for him too, he didn't try that hard in the class room, and we all know it.

I really liked Dendy's game. It is too bad he still needs to grow up a little bit, but I hope he does well at MTSU.

A lack of class demonstrated by a few of our fans, here. If you, as a fan, felt that Dendy somehow wronged you by the decisions he made as a Cyclone, then you need to get a life.

Good luck, Dendy, hope you rip it up at MTSU.

Fair enough. I just find it odd that he was excited to play for Hoiberg, then decides to bolt. His reasoning is sufficient, but the situation with his mother was already in play before he made his first comment about the CFH hire.

You can't ever believe what some people say in interviews.

Dendy only ever thought about himself and it showed during his "absences" during the year, and Coach even said that.
As a season ticket owner he did wrong the fans. It should be a privilege to wear the ISU jersey at Hilton, do you think he treated it like that?

Dude, its a privilege to purchase food at a grocery store, drink clean water from a faucet and **** in a porcelain chair. There are hundreds of privileges you and I take for granted every day.

It's ironic when people accost him for a selfish attitude when the statements on here are not any less egotistical. You ever made a wrong decision that you initially thought was in your best self-interests? I feel every fan has a right to judge him and have an opinion of him; but to ridicule and take delight in his perceived misfortune is flat out embarrassing.

Just my take.

Dude that is because most people get and use the privilege to purchase food at a grocery store, drink clean water from a faucet and **** in a porcelain chair.
Most people don't get a chance to play college basketball and get a free college degree out of it.
Huge difference

Your point has a high degree of relevancy. I would have been unable to deduce that information without your eloquent and well-thought-out statement.

BTW I doubt most people on this planet have those privileges. Before you follow-up with a predictable, "but were talking about the United States"... its all relative.

The point is, treat people with respect and kindness. Words can hurt, even from a stranger.

congrats to you you iowa state reject.enjoy your new league..you screwed your chance to play for a real coach!!!!!

Well...wouldnt you have to wait till at least one game or something to call him a real coach? He still has zero in game experience. I get the same vibe on this board about Hoiberg that there was for Bo Williams. The kid won the Heisman in the eyes of Iowa State fans before he even stepped foot on the field.

Words only hurt if you allow them to.

Agree. I love Fred but some people think he won't have any hiccups.

Great point! Yes, there certainly is a good amount of irrational exuberance over FH as our coach. However, any attempt to point that out is generally met with derision on this site.

Kermit Davis, the coach at MTSU, is both a good guy and a good coach.

I'd thought that I heard somewhere that on one of Laron's "vacations" last year, he was hanging out at MTSU.
