I think a lot of people are over-looking the 3 point shooting of Iowa this year.....even without Ogelsby. Their shooting has really picked up there the last few games, and they have hit 62/158 from behind the arc for 39.2%. ISU has shot 64/168 for 38.1%. Iowa has 4 guys (McCabe, GesellNow, Uthoff and Marble) who individually shoot 44% or better from outside. ISU has 3 shooters (Thomas, Long and Hogue) who individually shoot better than 40%.
ISU shoots a lot more of them, and makes more of them per game, but Iowa so far has shown a solid improvement in their outside shooting versus last year. Hopefully the ISU guards can hold them in check and send them back to their old ways of not being able to hit from outside.
This is not really the same Iowa team as last year. Last year, they were not really a threat from behind the arc. At the present time, that does not seem to be the case any more.
