Did anyone else see this on the halftime show of the WV game?

Yeah, I saw it, I didn't really think they were laughing at ISU so much as Wannstedt's lame comment. Before that it came across as he wasn't paying any attention so when put on the spot he used a very generic "they've got some playmakers" line, and the other guys were laughing like "is that the masterful insight you have?"

Sort of like when your wife asks you a question but you weren't paying attention, so you quickly say something very generic that always applies ... that was my take anyhow.

Yeah I saw it live, and to my impression was that Wannstedt was late getting to the set and just through out a dumb comment to make it look like he was ready to go.

They probably wouldn't have said anything about any other 3-9 team, but lets face it. We are an easy target being from Iowa with 11 wins in the past 4 seasons.
I know what he is saying though. People don't realize how young we are. And our receivers, and running backs are good. ISU's biggest issue is the lines and our Linebackers. Our Corners are decent. So that being said it doesn't matter. Get 7+wins next year and we will be fine.

That's a very short clip to judge off of. But I didn't find it all that disrespectful. Ignorant, but I expect that from those guys.

Meh.. who cares. ISU had a bad season, it's no secret. Leave it to Hawk fans to think it is funny. I'm sure you will see similar comments made about Hawkeye basketball later this year.
