Which is easier? I have heard different things from different people. Some told me Diffe Q was easy and actually fun, and I've been told Calc III is the easiest calc class.

Calc III. Diffy Q was brutal...and now that I am studying for the FE exam, I realized how little I actually learned in that class.

If you are required to take DQ, dont take it with smiley! Although, i did alright in the class, I know a lot of my fairly smart friends did not.

There's actually two different Diff Eq. classes. One, which I think is 265, is a little easier and another 267 which is a little harder because it covers LaPlace transforms. I know most engineering majors require 267 while other majors only require 265. I still think Diff Eq was easier because my professor spoke English.

When I was in school 267 was DiffEq (and required for engineers), but 265 was calc 3.

Calc III definitely easier.. and I recommend taking Calc III before Diff EQ, although some people will say it doesn't matter. IMO, it matters enough to be a nuisance if you take Diff EQ before taking Calc III. <---- from personal experience

I thought Diff Eq was much easier, and yes it actually was fun! I thought it was by far the easiest of the 4 calc engineering classes.

One diff eq deals with laplace transforms and is 4 credits (267), and the other one doesn't and is 3 credits (not sure of the course number). The thing about math classes is that how you do in the class is largely based on who your teacher is. I had an awesome teacher for calc 3. He would have quizzes every Friday over direct homework problems, and then we got to use our homework as "notes" for the quiz. It was cake. I knew other people who took it with a different teacher, and they were mad when I would tell them about the stuff we got to do. My Diff EQ teacher was TERRIBLE

1st off... when you abbreviate it, it's Diff. Eq. Hence the Diff-E-Q. Not Diffe Q.

2nd. It really depends on the professor. But I'd vote diff eq was easier.

I took a gal friend to class before Veisha and the teacher kept staring at her wondering if she should have been in the class. He never asked. My gal friend did not learn much from the diffy Q class.
