Happened right in front of me ... kind of late; He made an errant pass under the basket that Chattanooga fumbled OB. Scheduled TO and Prohm yelled and gave him the "think" non-verbal. No biggie. Hallice is looking good I think. Quick, good on-ball defense, shooting well. I'd like to see him take over the backup PG duties.

Hallice appears to be very competitive and perhaps a little sensitive. He is young and has gone through quite a bit of adversity already (hip surgery, transfer, three coaches in three years). Hopefully he stays patient because he's going to hit some big shots for us this season.

Jimlad??

Cooke already transferred here and there's no way he'd transfer and sit out another year somewhere just to play one season. He'll get a lot of playing time next year, whether it's as a starting PG or as a 6th man. He's getting decent minutes here and he's been fairly productive.

99.99999% sure he was kidding.

Thanks for verifying. I don't question how he's been doing at all. Just thought he took it a little too at heart and let himself get drug down by it. But, I agree, I think he's doing well and look forward to him getting better and better each game. (And, not funny Gunnerclone)

If he can't handle a little bit of coaching, then he probably needs to stop playing basketball.

I thought I saw Naz wince when he stood up for the introductions. I may have misread it; did anyone else see that. If he is hurting, it obviously did not restrict his game or his playing time.

Love the sweet shot of Cooke. That will come in handy as the season progresses, along with his defense. He was a great transfer.

Hate to watch Nader after he's had a great game. He seems to force his shot and shot selection too much, and try to be too fancy, dribbling behind his back in traffic etc. When he takes what the game gives him, he is much more effective.

Put me down as one who does not like a yelling coach. To me it is a distraction to the players. BB is a game of read and react, and when you have your coach constantly yelling instructions, it takes away from the players ability to read and reaction. Practice time, half time, time-outs - that is where the instruction should be occurring - to better prepare the players to focus on the game and not the coach. But that's just me.

MSU does their rebounding drills with helmets/pads on, and their toughness is evident in games.

And every other team would have 50 fouls a game called on them if they played like MSU.
