I don't know where the OP got those quotes, but that doesn't sound like anything Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would say. He is a very shy kid and doesn't enjoy interviews, but when he is interviewed he is 100% respectful of everyone. Just a great kid all the way around.
As for Davis' comment about not having seen Royce White play, I don't see that as disrespectful in any way. Coach Cal doesn't believe in watching game films to scout opponents. Back on Dec 31 when we played our most hated rival, Louisville, Davis was asked what he thought of them. His answer was, "I haven't seen them play". He isn't disrespectful. He's just being honest.
It's natural for opponents' fans to take shots, so I understand where you all are coming from. But the UK players are all great kids. They don't trash talk, they don't show up opponents by hot dogging, and they don't ever give less than 100%. They respect the game in every way and they respect their opponents.
Numerous coaches this year have complimented our players after games on how hard they work and the fact they play the game the way it's supposed to be played. Anything you hear or read otherwise about UK's players, is just not true. I think you all will have a better opinion of our players after you see them for yourselves.
