I never cared much for Higgins, until I read an article about him recently. I think now he's probably one of the better refs in the business.
Higgins isn't bad. We don't want O'Neill or Eades though.
Nailed it. If we draw Eades Niang will have a bad game. Eades is simply awful and needs to hang it up. I believe Eades figures Niang deserves two fouls and a travel just for coming off the bench for warm ups.Higgins isn't bad. We don't want O'Neill or Eades though.
Every game I watched, he's been consistent with his calls. Many fouls or few fouls called, in the end, consistency is all I ask for, and Higgins is the most consistent in the Big 12
Many fouls will hurt us worse than it will hurt Oklahoma. Aren't they a little deeper on the bench?
As little as we actually foul, we'll be fine, and he doesn't call many ticky tack fouls. That could change at the drop of a hat, but typically he's solid. Many fouls will hurt us worse than it will hurt Oklahoma. Aren't they a little deeper on the bench?
Mike Stuart is my least favorite. Worse than Eades this year I think.

Someone on here said that Refs are not reimbursed for travel so take any flights and hotel stays away from that total. Most of the time refs are scheduled only a few days before the game so they will pay a premium for flights. Still very good money but don't think that Higgins nets $2500 per game.I think we may get Higgins unless they did the Baylor game. Hope so. I'm friends with a JUCO ref who used to do D1 games. He said Higgins is the best out there and is paid to reflect that. For instance, Higgins will get like $2,500 per game he calls where the other two on the crew will only get at most $1,500.
If if you think about that, Higgins will make about $250,000 during a 3 month season and the dude also owns an insurance agency in Omaha to my understanding. Not a bad living...
