Ref whining after a loss. Typical. There were more reasons why we lost the game and I guarantee it wasn't as lopsided as many of you believe.

So tiresome. Our fanbase deserves its reputation.

Respectfully disagree:

1. we out shot them
2. we made more 3 pointers
3. we made more overall shots
4. we had more assists than they did
5. we out rebounded them

but, they had 25 free throws to our 10 AND 18 turnovers (many mysteries) and a HUGE turn of events when Nader should have had a one and done, but instead got called for the offensive foul, a mystery technical and a 3 point and one by buddy heild. Someone WAS protecting the B12 player of the year and wanted to ensure he made it further to enhance his chances for national player of the year.

Yet, We still ALMOST did it.

GO Cyclones!!

As I said before...it's almost like something besides shooting, rebounding and passing determined this game. The team that did all those things better lost.

If you can't look to officiating in this one some self reflection is needed. Sure we vent about refs a lot, but this game was obviously called in favor of OU from the start to finish. There's no way of knowing ISU would have won but if you grabbed 3 random refs from a high school game in Idaho (basically any other random crew) the score much more likely moves in ISU's favor than OU's.

This was my takeaway...and the only thing keeping me from meltdown. The guys (and Georges in particular) worked amazingly hard. If the roles were reversed (Buddy on the bench for a good portion of the first half, Georges on the court) I think their scoring numbers would have been reversed as well. Buddy picked up the first of his three fouls well into the second half, and the other two were in the last 2-3 minutes.

Yeah, 90% of the bad calls came from the two other refs.

Instant travels only on ISU, Nader travel on the nice spin move bucket

Horrendous charge call on Nader with Buddy sliding under him

Hield with the held ball no call as he lands again and puts it in

Hield piggy back on Georges (again) and Georges called for the foul

There were five calls that the national announcers said were bad calls, and every single damn one of them went against us. Pathetic.

This. Outrageous officiating. They were told by conference leadership to make sure OU moved on so they have the potential to get a 1 seed. Everytime that sack of **** Eades calls a game, ISU has mysterious **** happen to them. **** him forever.

I seriously doubt that referees have to pay for their own travel. $1500 a game wouldn't be much, after that.
According to the article I read about Higgins, the refs are independent contractors that have to pay all their travel and hotel expenses. I'm sure there is a tax write-off for it though.

Replayed that on slo-mo. He traveled -- 3 steps. Pretty sure it was Higgins who called it too.

And foul no 2 on Georges was ********. You can't call a foul on some guy putting his *** against the opponent.

Three years is nothing. There are those among us who STILL hate the MSU game back in 2000. I'm one of them. ;)

That's what motivates my meltdown. We did what it took to win that game and had it stripped away by a pathetic excuse for a referee in another "apology wall special." It is not supposed to work that way.

What are the odds? Surely we shouldn't get the same set of refs when there are 32 other games to choose from?
It isn't the "set"...it is Eades. Eades will put George on the bench in the first half every time. That white haired POS should never be allowed to officiate a game that Niang plays in.

I normally defend officials and am critical of fans when they complain. Not when it comes to Eades.

When I can come on here and state that Niang will be forced to the bench early in the first half with two ticky tack fouls because Eades is the official...something is wrong. When one official calls all five fouls on Niang and his travel. something is wrong. When you can PREDICT what happens...there is an issue.

Higgins is one of the best. PaulJanssenn doesn't bother me. O'Neil does not bother me. Dailey is solid.

Eades flat out has it in for Niang. Since you think there is no legit complaint, I suggest you go back and look at every single game Eades has called for iSu, see how early George is forced to the bench with foul trouble. The only decent game Eades has called with iSu this year was Texas in Hilton- oh wait. That was the travels galore game called by Eades

It is a guarantee with Eades...Georges gets screwed.

BTW- Call miles Simon up. He agrees with most here

Higgins called a fair game in my opinion. Eades is atrocious and needs to hang them up. I've never seen Eades on the same crew as Higgins, so was really bummed to seem him out there.
Eades and Higgins did Texas in Hilton. Eades called three travels on Georges.

Higgins is good but Eades sucks. Higgins was solid last night. Had a couple missed calls(Naders travel) but he was solid.

I don't want to put a damper on the conspiracy, but I think if we looked at the games Eades reffed that Georges doesn't get 2 in the first half every time. The only one I know for sure is the Texas game because it's the only game I went to this season and I'm pretty sure Georges didn't have any in the first half of that game.

It is more Eades has an issue than a Big 12 conspiracy theory. People thinking that the Big 12 wanted Iowa state fans to leave KC in droves are crazy.

The Texas game is the one game Eades officiated that he didn't get in early foul trouble. But...how many travels did Eades call on Georges in that game...hint...more than 2.

You can go back and look at the rest of the games. I have followed it closely since the TT game in Hilton where Eades officiated and Georges got into foul trouble. I suggest you take a look before spouting off.

When Tom Eades refs a game with Niang he will either A) get Georges in early foul trouble, B)whistle Georges for a very questionable travel, C) both.

Kinda funny that in this very thread, I predicted if we got Eades, George would have early foul trouble and a travel...BEFORE THE GAME! How on earth could I ever predict that...those that do not learn history are doomed to repeat it

Here this website list all the officials, games called, fouls called per team.http://bbstate.com/all/officials
