If defense makes better halftime adjustments, let the offense have the additional possession in the first half. That’s one less possession against ISU’s uncorrected defense and one more possession against ISU’s adjusted defense. Or am I crazy here?
Our offense has scored 32 more points in second halves than first halves.

Our defense has allowed 18 fewer points in second halves than first halves.

Which side of the ball is making better adjustments?

Don’t defer, elect to kick. Gives them the ball first in both halves. They will be so intimidated by our confidence they’ll probably just get back on the bus and go home.

We’ve scored twice on our first drive of the 1st half this year. We’ve scored twice on the first drive of the second half this year. In conclusion- it doesn’t matter if we get the ball first, we kind of suck at scoring at the beginning of halves.

Gosh, if only it were that simple.
