He committed to Iowa today.

Good luck with that! If they are silly enough to commit there, it just shows we don't want them anyhow. Does he have a juvy record or something? Is that why he thinks Iowa would be a good fit?

Link? If true that's too bad. The kid is a hard worker and has a lot of potential. Think he's 6'5", 280.

im not just saying this cause he signed with Iowa, but i always thought he looked like the typical UofI Olineman, big, plain, goofy and uncoordinated looking.
I like that Chizik and co are bringing in some tall but smaller players, and putting wieght on them.

His uncle played at Iowa in the 80's I guess.

I respect your opinion and don't disagree with you, but Iowa has had some really good linemen in recent years. Mostly individual standouts and not great overall offensive lines, but still, some have been great.

I'd heard the family connection and always kind of expected him to go to Iowa. Honestly I don't know a single thing about him.

Best of luck to him and I hope his decision works out for the best.

The 2002 line best in school history (4 pros)...and one of the best in Big Ten history. 2003 was pretty darn good, as was 2004. 05 and 06, ypc, not too shabby. 2001, made up of the 2002 cast for the most part, pretty darn good.

I don't live and die for Hawkeye stats, but their OL for '06 and '07 were not good at all. Worst than or at least as bad as ISU's and that is saying something.

Maybe he wanted to be a train engineer and work at UP.

Iowa is versed in hydraulics and half their buildings just flooded. Maybe that is why he chose to got here - unfortunately the school was part of the proving grounds for hydraulics.
