Yeah, but when you hit on a long-shot bet, you're kicking yourself for only having wagered $2. Right?

BTW, I like to take in 'clone games at the sportsbook at Diamond Jo's in north Iowa. Often chat with gamblers there, and am amazed at the number who have expressed certainty that pro football is absolutely rigged! That's delusional, right?

I think rigged is too far. But, I wouldn’t put it past them to schedule certain ref groups to certain games based on tendencies to help the result they want.

But no, I don’t think any players are fixing games. There’s too much money at stake and too many people involved

Rigged? Hard to say. But definitely unfair.

When I saw a Chiefs player take his helmet off to yell at two refs and no flag was thrown, that is blatantly ignoring the rules and letting a major penalty slide. Judgment calls are one thing, but when refs favor one team with obvious action or inaction, then the games aren't fair. How can you bet on bias?

The automatic first down in the NFL for defensive holding on 3rd down to keep drives alive used to be real prevalent. Basically the same " holding" taking place on every play but always convenient to throw it on 3rd and 10. Usually it had nothing to do with the actual play.

Made this bet as well, but mine was a lot dumber than yours.

Looks like I made that bet on May 31 - had any action happened with those players, or was it still speculation?

I’d think once the suspensions were official those odds would’ve been less favorable

I don't remember the exact timeline, but I don't think we knew about the suspensions. It was still speculation on who the players were at that point...I think. We may have had an inside track on who the players were but nothing official was out yet. I made my bet around the same time.

I bet my brother in law on the CyHawk Game. Loser had to put the opposing teams sticker on their vehicle through the end of bowl season. Needless to say I am counting down the days until that sticker comes off.

Oh it gets worse. My truck was less than a week old when the sticker went on. There were 3 days where that tiger chicken was on my truck and my ISU sticker wasn't. I live in AZ so I had to order one, and it hasn't shown up yet.
