You guys are crazy. You honestly think we are going to replace Morris with this Ennis kid? Ya ok
Shut. The. ****. Up. We would not be replacing Monte at all. Take your shtick somewhere else. It's not funny anymore, actually it never was.

Would we play Monte as a shooting guard for part of the game. He is one of our best shooters.

Doubt it. We no doubt play best with the ball in Monte's hands. If he came here, I most likely see Ennis just filling in more as a back-up point guard. Yes, in that role, he could fit the bill of operating as a "traditional" point guard like he wants, I just wouldn't see him getting many minutes in that role since Monte has proven he can play so many minutes. I imagine there would be some times we'd have both on the court, but that doesn't seem to be what he wants and he'd likely not be the point man in that case. Overall, I just don't see us being what he wants, especially in a league that lacks quality point guards. There is no doubt in my mind he could get EXACTLY what he wants someplace else very easily. Shoot, Iowa would probably sell off their firstborn to get him.

Maybe this is a Justin Hamilton-type transfer and Ennis just wants to be the "closer to home" or the "main point guard".

I see the ball in Georges almost as much. Monte is not a full time point guard compared to others. We run our offense differently.

He wants to play a true point guard and has what 1 year left? hahaha you people are mindbogglingly insane. You think he will come here where he will get less playing time then he did a Villanova? We need a backup PG, but he isn't looking to be back-up under Morris.

It's possible we take a look, but I think NN comes in and takes over as lead PG once MM leaves (quite possibly after this next year). I've said for 2 weeks now that NN is most likely a Cyclone and I stand by that prediction.

Hope you are right but the staff needs to keep options open in case that falls through. Appreciate the info. I like what Nick appears to bring to the table.

I agree, Nick would be a great add. Wouldn't be surprised if something just as good or even better pops up too as a longer-term viable point guard option. We'll see.

Not that I think he will come here, but I find it funny how uninformed people are. Morris and Ennis would be on the floor plenty together. Fred did a pretty good job of playing two PGs with Morris and Kane... Hell three if you want to call Niang a point forward.

That is not what we are saying. As far as I've seen, nobody is really saying he won't see the floor much if he came here (although he could see it even more somewhere else) and nobody is also saying that CFH wouldn't have issues playing them both out there. What everyone is really saying in different ways is that whatever his role would end up being here, it likely wouldn't be exactly what he has described he wants. Shoot, I don't know Villanova well, but his role here probably wouldn't be that dissimilar to what he would have had at Villanova. At the same time, with what he described he wanted, I have no doubt he could find that someplace else EASY. In fact, those perfect fits will likely be lining up for him. A place like Iowa is just the first place that comes to mind.

I don't disagree that Fred could make it work and due to ISU reported intrest would have a plan to play them together. It would leave us pretty small in the back court though. Monte should be left as the PG, that is what he is and one of the best in the nation. No reason to recruit a one year transfer and move Man-Man to a possition that wouldn't be his absolute best. Still guess that Nick N. due to his talent and 4 years of eligibility would be the primary PG target and Ennis would be the secondary one if Nick decides to go somewhere else. Not really seeing Ennis wanting to come to ISU as backup for one year but well see.
