Okay, so….why? Everyone now expecting OU to be a major letdown?
I see that game on Oct. 27 is now Virginia Tech @ NC State. I know some think NC State will be pretty good this year.

Maybe OU bitched that they didn't want to play it on that night and got their way?

Duh!
2 ESPN+ games suck.
The Ohio game would have been on a better network in the past. This isn’t going to help our viewership numbers. Especially, with so many ISU fans dropping ESPN+ as way to get back at ESPN…though it really only hurts the TV value of our program.

1:00 may be the worse time for me watching...

Nap time is 12:30-2:30 for the toddler.. I don't mind 11:00 kicks because I can eat an early lunch and fast forward thru most of the game without Mrs cyfan caring..

How can the baby sleep through cursing loudly at the TV?!

I know this isn't the perfect thread, but what are the odds TCU gets moved to Black Friday? Would make it a lot easier to head down for both the Cowboys game and that

Are UT and OU the only fanbases/programs that whine about kick times?

I understand fan preferences for kick times from a personal standpoint. I don't grasp agony about being treated "unfairly" if you have to play at noon ET every once in a while.

Not as much as UT/OU, but Mountain time zone schools have issues with repeated 8:00 p.m. kickoffs.

Informative.

So I'm guessing there would be preference for more in 4-4:30 range? (as a general time frame, I'm using Eastern for that example)

Also wonder how much impact is having a lot of opponents on Pacific time.

Glad to see the OU game was moved to Saturday, no way can we get up to Ames on a Thursday night and then make it back for work the next day.

It was getting old missing one of the better home games year after year because it was on Thursday night.

ESPN+ viewership numbers aren’t going to make or break our program. Feel free to continue boycotting and cancelling ESPN.

Even the primetime window (7 ET/6 CT/5 MT) would be a lot more preferable than the late-night window (10 ET/9 CT/8 MT).

For example, TCU/Colorado is an 8:00 kickoff in Boulder (9:00 CT), and Baylor/BYU is 8:15 in Provo (9:15 CT). In the first two weeks of September, probably not a big deal. But in late October and November, it's a different story.
