Easement question

LOL. Its a weird lot. We are behind the houses on both the east-west and north-south streets. Goes back to the 50s when it was built, in the middle of an extra big block. So we have a long driveway down to the east-west street (it runs along the 5 houses) and I think it was the main entrance originally, just grass now. Then we have a shorter driveway to the north-south road, which is paved.

But we do like it, we have good green space and are back off the streets a ways.
SE Side?

Don't assume anything with the subcontractor, he may talk sugar but bare open available ground makes for easy digging. If this would happen on my property: I would send a letter to the company stating that the line is on your property without easement granted and that the boxes must be removed immediately, any future access for repair of the line, repair, adjustment, reading etc. of the boxes is denied without written approval of adjustment to the easement. This letter has far more influence when generated by an attorney. As a former developer and president of a HOA, it is prudent to act quickly, legally and in simple terms.

When they are almost done have your lawyer tell them they are wrong, are they wrong? Tell them they have to pull the cables out. If they offer you $100,000, tell them you will fill in the numbers.

I thought he said the boxes were within the easement space. You can’t do anything if they are within the easement space

Closure. AKA I am a fool.

So got a call back. Per the map, the property line isn't where I thought it was, it's maybe a foot or two on my side of the fence. I don't own the fence, and my driveway actually goes over the property line by a bit! Wonder how the PO got away with that?

The problem was the sheet I had printed wasn't zoomed in enough, and the fence and the property line were indistinguishable. Zoom in online, and voila, you can see the small gap there. At least I was civil and calm about it, didn't lose my grip with anyone.

I suppose the upside is I don't have to worry about it anymore, and also I ain't weed whipping up against that fence anymore.
