Hope still thru all of this NIL? This whole business seems so chaotic anymore.

Will keep my eye on this one past 2:30 today, thru about the next 3 years!

And what is with the duel helmet? What does the bottom half signify? Some alt design?

Why did Gaines us the "$" in his signing day post? He should have said ISU is the "cat's pajamas".

I tell ya. The kids today...

I'd take him at his word. And I think the helmet is his HS transforming into ISU. Our department provided most of that artwork and have seen it before w/ jerseys.

4 stars dont come in without some rough edges. While we loved what we got from Lazard over his career, we have had 4 stars like Scates barely see time, and those like Sedrick Johnson.....

Keep expectations realistic. At this point Hutchison and Noel will start. Any other WR spot is up for grabs.

I believe that S Johnson was only a 4 star because he was committed to A&M or whoever. Had he committed to us, he would have been a 3 star. The signing day flip was too late for him to get the ISU drop.

People seem to think a healthy Shaw is a lock.

Way up there

I hope he steps up but we've heard similar about him the last 3 seasons.

The biggest thing any wr after X and Noel have to battle is simply getting in the field. They typically sit in favor of tight ends in Mannings offense. They are schemed out of playing time just as much as anything.

I think that means to get significant time you have to prove you are so good they can't keep you off the field or find your niche with a specific strength, like Noel in the screen game, he was more or less the backup rb with the way he was used.

I think Noel is a lock in the slot. Though these guys liked to swap Hakeem into the slot a fair amount and hit that deep middle seam. I just want to see some guys able to get separation in that slot.

Or they drop passes thrown to them and miss blocks. The receivers that have not played haven’t because they basically haven’t performed. We use our tight ends heavily since they are more dependable than the WRs outside of X.
