LiL Chicago.........I mean Iowa City is pretty "bottom dweller". In coming years people will race to get inside Hawk BB games to escape the ghetto outside. Future looks bright.

Well said!!!

Baylor ticks me off more than any other school. They have a football team that is fun to watch and has been consistently in the top 10 for years and a BCS appearance yet only 10 fans showed up for their bowl games. If that was ISU we would have flooded those bowls with fans. They have a basketball team that has been top 25 for years. Nobody cares. A womens bball team thats contending for NC's. Who watches? Nobody. I have no idea how they recruit anyone with 0 fans to watch them.

If ISU performed like they did people's heads would explode.

TV needs to die. We have computers, its 2015, I have been waiting for the better part of 12 years to get decent packages for watching television on my computer. Rich people just don't want to lose their power. It's coming old people, kicking and screaming, but its coming.

For that to happen we need major upgrades to internet infrastructure. Not going to happen soon.

People who live in Cedar Rapids/Iowa city area know exactly what that means unless they live in a cave. For those who don't the State of Illinois is exporting welfare baggers by the train load here turning these cities into real life bottom feeder ghettos. It's no accident Iowa grads are sending their kids to ISU. Cyclone nation passed Hawk land as the largest university in the state. Another ten years Iowa City will look like Detroit.

How many of my die hard Hawk fans I graduated from school with (dozens) will take their wives to a night game in Iowa City? Answer >>>>none of them. They stay away from that ghetto. Truth sucks doesn't it.

Attendance for all college sports has been falling nationally. I do think being able to watch a game in HD in your living room has had an effect. Attendance for NFL games is in decline, that's a good indicator of where things are heading.

Lmao, yeah, because the area around Carver Hawkeye Arena is so run down right? I'm not sure what your posts have to do with declining college basketball attendance.

Oh wait, I get it, since Iowa City is a ghetto now because of all the poor people from Illinois taking it over, so that is why they only average like 14,000 fans instead of 15,500.

Nice one!! This guys posts in the this thread might be the most ridiculous I've read on here.

Wives don't need to be "taken" to places by their husbands, you know.

Who wants to see iowa vs. Penn State? That game has no juice, the teams have no natural rivalry and it shouldn't have been a game at all. I wouldn't go to that game if I had free tickets.

It was only EIU/Penn State MBB . . . not wrestling!
