Football will go extinct before baseball.

#ChangeMyMind

In the future there will only be one professional sports league - the NBA. The regular season and postseason will only consist of a two month time period with the superstars only playing every third game to extend their careers, and the rest of the year will be a ten month window of unrestricted free agency for every player and a steady diet of Woj bombs.

You really think the "Ugh, NFL is so soft now! Back in my day...." crowd is going to tune into that?! Lol, no way.

NFL is on it's way out. Sell your Green Bay Packer stock asap.
With the way injuries and player safety are in the NFL, that's definitely believable.
Exactly. And it's not about today's players. It will be a slow steady decline. Today's 5 year old's parents are increasingly steering them to (and rightfully so) basketball, baseball, soccer, swimming, running, literally anything that doesn't result in massive head injuries at exponentially higher rates like football. So the would be Todd Gurleys, Julio Jones', Dalvin Cooks, Pat Mahomes', etc. of the year 2040, they're increasingly hitting baseballs, shooting jumpers, and running track as we speak and will never make it to a football field.

After baseball finally goes extinct in a few years can we just get rid of school bands, too?

I think we'll see a reduced talent pool available for football as kids get steered toward other sports, but it'll survive. It's just baked into the culture in some parts of the country. And until there's a significant decline in tv ratings or until someone isn't ponying up billions for broadcast rights football's going to be just fine.
