Skimmed through gameday. They have a new version of the opening theme which is nowhere as good as the previous one. Some guy from Van Pelt's bad beat segment is the new betting guy and he does 6 games in which he went 2-4.

2-4 just like the weatherman doesn't matter if your right, just throw something out there.

McAfee is a big risk to ESPN and Disney. If i were spo rts that depended on espn for most of their tv money, i would a little wary.
he has a high ceiling and low floor.

But they eat that stuff up because viral clips sell. The quality of the actual conversation means zero. It's all a massive sham. Exhibit A: Steven A Smith

Steve is great with SVP. I hope he doesn’t ruin his career by putting him too close to the rest of that group. SVPod is the only thing left from that network that I subscribe to.

I stopped watching with the change to Pat McAfee. Just my personal opinion, but I find him to be as fun as nails on a chalkboard. Always over the top, narcissistic, and attention grabbing. He's basically the younger version of Stephen A Smith.

Same. I already despised Herbstreit but McAfee was the nail in the coffin.

Herbstreit is the Ryan Seacrest of football announcers.

Makes the Thursday night games tough to watch. I avoid games that he calls.

How did we go from Keith Jackson and Vin Scully and **** Enberg and Pat Summerall to Herbstreit?

I don't dislike any of the current announcers and color guys, I just think they talk too much. I started watching TV sports early 60's and in football the analyst would see something interesting every two or three plays and talk about it. Now nearly every single play has to be over analyzed.
It's like when you are in a conversation with someone who always talks and never listens.

My friend and I both said this was the least amount of attention we have ever paid to gameday. It has went downhill for sure. Going to watch FOX this weekend and see if it is any better.

Not to mention what they are paying him is why quality people espn had were laid off.

Like Herbstreit talking about "vision" every third play.

Dude. We get it.
