Utah loses to zonas = Utah sucks = Big 12 is overrated

Bama loses to Vandy = Vandy good = SEC DEEP

(The big 12 and SEC team names can be interchangead)
I agree there's something to this. The national media is disappointed that Utah hasn't come in and dominated the Big 12. And because they haven't, the Big 12 is being penalized for some reason. The media decided before the season that Utah had the highest ceiling in the conference, and perception of the entire conference is still following that principal. A lot of people point to the arrogrance of the Utah fans, but the national college football media was just as arrogant and dismissive of the rest of the conference. It's exhausting to hear every season.

Anyone catch (Osweiler maybe?) during the TCU/Utah game about the Big 12 being completely left out of the CFP?

Only the top 5 conference champs are guaranteed, so they already have Boise State getting the 4 seed, but NOW the latest is Army or Navy could be the fifth conference champion and the Big 12 doesn’t get any at large.

It’s just hilarious at this point.

Every week is a more far fetched media fantasy that's realized when the Big 12 ends up with two 8-4 teams in the Big 12 CG and 0 playoff entries.

I don't think an 8-4 team will ever make it to the CCG. Worst case scenario would be a 9-3 team (that went 1-2 nonconference and 8-1 in conference).

I've seen many fans say that 7-2 might be good enough. It was occasionally good enough in our 10-team league, but it's highly unlikely to be good enough in a 16 team league.

During the Boise/UNLV game last night they were basically saying that Boise's close loss at Oregon puts them in the drivers seat for the 4 seed, they were even hyping UNLV's 3 power conference wins (Houston, KU and....Oregon State lol) could get them there if they won out.

Keep in mind: SEC already stated publicly, they will wait to see how the playoff selection goes, before they make their next move.
