I keep hearing about Wigginton being the best perimeter defender.....I think Shayok might have something to say about that.

I agree with all of this.

Some slight... differences...

-- Solomon is going to play, at least given situational needs against the bigger teams in the conference, particularly West Virginia and Kansas

-- not giving up on Lard yet... he might break out and surprise us

-- Haliburton over THT is a bold move, but makes more sense in terms of how you construct a lineup... THT would be an excellent scoring spark off the bench, coming in fresh to spell Shayok and Wigginton and just get some buckets

-- I like you having Lewis up there, I think he has played well this year

In my opinion, THT saved the Illinois game for us. 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists. He was dynamic, that was why he is on draft boards late first round/early second. Since Maui, he is shooting 25% from 3 and 56% from 2. Some of the missed 3's is shot selection, but some of that is missing open shots. I look forward to him developing his game and his role and getting that 3 point percentage up. The more I think about this, THT is our defensive 4 and it makes it hard for him not to start. The real question is with Wiggs back and THT gets a breather, who will be our defensive 4. Does MJ move to the 4 and Young as the five, or is Talley or Lard the defensive 4? It will be interesting when we get into conference play, how we match up with the various lineups in the Big 12.

The Big 12 is a pretty heavily a four guard/wing league nowadays.

Haliburton's the one who said that about Wigg. Hope it's true as he has the athleticism to be one of the best in the conference.

Delusion. LW will be a big factor but this team has a ton to improve if they want to compete with a top 25 team. When they beat a good team, we can talk. If Lard continues to play this way, we will still struggle a lot. Still so much lack of discipline, bad shot selection, poor off ball defense and sketchy rebounding.
