Why is it pathetic? I'm not getting my hopes for anything Cyclone related for a very long time. My balls can't take anymore. Until I see the results on the field/court, whatever.

I think he was just being a smart *** since he basically just copied and pasted the definition of apathy. I would check the exact wording on dictionary.com but I don't feel like it. :jimlad:

As far as my answer to the original question I guess I'm close to apathetic myself. I hate to say it, but after last week's road game, this team has to show me something on the road before I'll let myself get too excited for a road game. That being said, I'm sure I will be excited by tip off.

Lets hope Kansas State overlooks us and we play as though the OU game never ended. It could be a blowout!

I'm actually expecting a close game...

Moderate excitement. We have played well against KU and OU so I know we have it in us. KSU is coming off of some big wins and might be up for a letdown against us. At least that's where my excitement is coming from.

IF KSU shows up though, I don't think we'll stay within 10.

I'd have to say apathy for me. The Colorado loss destroyed me. I was really into the game Saturday, then my heart was broken again. We've won like twice in the last 15 years down there so for this particular game it's difficult to get up for.

I hate to say it, but I've pretty much thrown the towel in on this season. I have my eyes set on next season because for the first time in about 4 years I'm going to have major expectations for this basketball program.

From what I've seen of K-State and heard from my fiance that went there, they have a habit of letting down after big games almost always. She's feeling pretty scared about this one. I'm looking forward to driving up there tonight - I think if we play like we did against OU and Texas we've got a pretty good shot.

That's the big "if"... whether or not we can play like we did. Hopefully we can, and can steal one on the road. This team needs it. The fans need it.

At the very least, I'd love it if this team could put themselves in a position to maybe get beyond the first game in the tourny..

That's not really apathy, more like laziness.

la⋅zy

adjective, -zi⋅er, -zi⋅est, verb, -zied, -zy⋅ing. –adjective

I'm pretty excited (as I always am on game day), but KSU has a very good team and they're going to be playing with a lot of confidence.

Our guys are due for a W tonight and should be very hungry - I just hope they don't beat themselves. If they play with the same intensity that they had against OU and don't try to force anything that's not there, good things will happen.

I think you forgot the sarcasm pirate. Here is one for next time :jimlad:

No seriously, what's the plan? If you double him, you open up Luis Colon for a barrage of 3-footers. If you zone to stop them both, Chris Merriwether is going to light you up from deep.

Why have a plan to stop someone who's only averageing 7 points a game in conference play?
McDermott's quotes about message boards probably has him thinking McD reads them all the time, and therefore will develop a game plan based on this one post. K-Stater's are tricky little devils

I don't like the way our guards match up with their's...I think we have a good shot against them in Hilton...but I'd be surprised if we fair too well tonight...hope I'm wrong though.
